The 11th Book Fair of Romilly-sur-Andelle (Eure) was, according to the established formula, ‘the place to be’ – and may lovers of the language of Molière forgive this borrowing from that of Shakespeare! – for lovers of beautiful letters, Sunday April 7, 2024.

Indeed, the municipality and the Jacques-Prévert media library once again offered a high-quality show this year, with numerous activities such as exhibitions of work carried out in partnership with teachers and their classes, conferences and interviews, round tables and other readings. , and of course, around fifty authors present.

Among them, names known and appreciated by the general public: the journalist Claude Sérillon and the actor Bernard Menez (Fabien Lecoeuvre and Gérard Majax were ultimately unable to travel for health reasons – Editor’s note), as well as leaders in their fields : the lawyer Roland Perez, the ex-notary turned farmer Manuela Leduc, or the eminent professor of Greek and Latin Armel Job, member of the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium, to name but a few -there…

It is therefore not surprising that during the inauguration, Mayor Jean-Luc Romet was very proud of this event, and thanked the librarian Catherine Corroyer and her team of thirty volunteers, as well as the partners, for the quality of this 11th edition.
