A hard blow for the Bavarians. A defensive player on the left side (in defense or in midfield), Guerreiro, 30, was affected in the “ligaments and capsule” of his left foot. During the championship day preceding the first leg, Dutch international defender Matthijs de Ligt was injured with Bayern against Frankfurt and had to abandon the match in Munich three days later, forcing Thomas Tuchel to line up Kim Min-jae in central defense, at fault on the two goals conceded by the Munich residents. Absent from the group in Stuttgart, de Ligt returned to training on Sunday, as did Jamal Musiala, who was rested for the championship match on Saturday. Both took part in the Sunday session with Saturday’s substitutes.
