Launched in 1998, the independent bookstore festival is making a comeback for its 26th edition. This year, it will be celebrated in more than 650 bookstores in France, as well as in French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland, with in particular 29 Normandy bookstores participating.
For several years now, the Les grands chemins bookstore in Lisieux (Calvados) has taken part.
“It allows us to honor our profession while thanking our loyal customers. In previous years, it was a success,” says Dorothée Weil.
A rose and a book offered

“For every purchase of a book, customers will leave with a rose and a book containing 20 poems by Jacques Roubaud relating to the animal world. Each of his poems will be illustrated by 20 drawings by the painter Edi Dubien »
Saturday April 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Les grands chemins bookstore, place de la République in Lisieux (Calvados).
