The book has just been published by Toute Latitude.

We know the passion for wine and for the heritage of Jean-Pierre Alaux, mayor of Albas and above all successful novelist, but perhaps we ignore his predilection for tales and legends? Thus, he has just put his pen to the service of “Tales and legends of Garonne”, a work that has just been published by Toute Latitude. It is the whole imaginary heritage, that of fairies, dracs and crafty peasants, which deploys its enchantments in the waters and fertile lands of Garonne. From the foot of the Pyrenees to the plains of Aquitaine via Comminges, Midi Toulousain, Montalbanais, the borders of Quercy and Gascony, the Garonne irrigates a country that has never lacked character. From each of these stories, all attached to a city, a village, a monument or born in the heart of these remarkable landscapes that the river crosses, we will draw wisdom, a discovery and sometimes even a lesson. An unrepentant storyteller, Jean-Pierre Alaux gets his art of narration from his grandfather who once, in the evening, told him these extraordinary stories.

> Jean-Pierre Alaux also co-wrote with Melha Mammeri “Me, Marie-Charlotte, in the shadow and light of Henri Martin” published this summer. It will be read by Melha Mammeri (actress, screenwriter and director), accompanied by the harpist Hélène Gaurier, this Sunday, September 22 at 5 p.m. in the main courtyard of the Cahors prefecture, on the occasion of the Heritage Days (the prefecture is hosting 5 works by Henri Martin).
