The Taderi-Tadera cultural association met in early September to choose the five books selected for the 22nd Ceyreste Village Book election. The selection was made from the summer reading list, which itself had been made from the favorites of readers of literary pousse-cafés during the year 2024.

As every year for the past twenty-two years, five books have emerged. They have moved or made you smile, exalted or made you travel and have left no one indifferent. Each reader present, or by correspondence in case of absence, gave their five favorite books. It was enough to count the votes to have the following list.

The story of Equatorial Guinean Eric Moussambani

The unknown woman in the portrait by Camille de Peretti: a fresco full of adventures and twists and turns around a small painting by Klimt which disappears only to reappear years later, lost, stolen and found.

Darwyne by Colin Niel: the life of a 10-year-old boy born with a foot deformity, on the edge of the Amazon rainforest in Guyana, in adoration of his mother, beautiful, strong and courageous. One day, child welfare is alerted and Mathurine, the child protection services educator, will try to tame the child through their shared passion, the jungle, which gradually becomes a character in its own right.
