(Keystone-ATS) These relate in particular to building permits, criminal orders, demonstrations, beer stakes and operating authorizations. The results were presented Tuesday in Meyriez by the prefect of the Singine Manfred Raemy, who chairs the ridge conference after the retirement of Willy Schorderet.
Last year, the body took a position 16 times in the context of cantonal consultations, “actively contributing to the development of public policies”, said the press release. To manage all their missions, the prefectures had 61 employees (44.4 full -time equivalents, EPT), an increase of 0.3 EPT over one year.

The elements presented to the press by Manfred Raemy “testify to the constant commitment of the prefects to guarantee a strong link between the regions and the cantonal authorities, in a spirit of public service and proximity”. This particular subject was “dug” by the prefect of Gruyère, Vincent Bosson.
The elected official returned to the “welcome to the heart of the district” event, organized on March 14 of this year. The first edition of the open house day of the prefectures was marked by a participation of nearly 1,500 people, noted Vincent Bosson, who came to exchange and discover the administrative level.
To illustrate the proximity to citizens, the prefect of La Gruyère also looked at the conciliations organized by the prefectures. In 2024, in the criminal field, no less than 297 conciliation attempts were carried out, of which 170 resulted. Conciliation makes it possible to resolve conflicts quickly.

“And to avoid long legal proceedings and sustainable tensions,” said Vincent Bosson. He also noted that conciliation is not limited to criminal affairs. “It is also exercised within the framework of administrative appeals, general surveillance procedures and relations with the municipalities”.
In 2024, the conference met 11 times, “testifying to the vitality of interregional dialogue and the importance of subjects”. The prefects have further multiplied exchanges with the cantonal authorities. Without forgetting the meetings with the prefects of the canton of Bern, in a logic of intercantonal cooperation.
