Pato O’Ward, Indycar pilot and reservist for McLaren in Formula 1, will take the steering wheel of the MCL39 during the free test session 1 (EL1) of the Mexico Grand Prix 2025, scheduled for , October 24. It will be the second consecutive year that the 25 -year -old native of Monterrey will participate in this session in Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

This participation is part of his role as a reserve pilot for McLaren, allowing him to gain precious experience in F1 while supporting the team in his preparations for the race weekend.
