The first free trial session of the 6 -hour spa, which took place at the end of the morning and under the sun on the Ardennes route, saw Ferrari sign a double, the 499p LMH official #50 piloted by Antonio Fuoco ahead of the #83 of the Team AF Corse. The two Italian hypercards were followed by three French prototypes, with the Alpine A424 LMDH #36 and the two Peugeot 9×8 LMH, #93 before #94.
The session was rather calm, with simply two neutralizations via Full Course Yellow for an out of the way out of a gravity of Paul-Loup Chatin aboard the second Alpine, then a passage by the Graviers for Sébastien Bourdais with the Cadillac V-Series.r LMDH #38, at the Campus turn.
Three red flags in EL2
The second session of this third event in the 2025 season of the World Endurance Championship, however, was much more disturbed, including two trail outings at the top of the raidillon. A third red flag was brandished after the release of Tom Gamble, aboard the Aston Martin Valkyrie #007 at the turn 10.
On the time side, the reference of this second test session this time was set by the Porsche Penske 963 LMDH #6, controlled by French Kévin Estre, with almost a second and a half better than the best time in the morning. Not far away, at 0 “091, was precisely the Ferrari 499p #50. The BMW M Hybrid V8 #20 completed the podium, three tenths of first place.
