Yamaha has upset the market with the launch of the F-S-S FI Hybrid, the first hybrid motorcycle in India, offering an unprecedented combination of advanced technology, energy efficiency and urban mobility. Marketed as a “hy-fi machine”, this model combines innovation, comfort and environmental awareness in an elegant and stylish packaging.
The FZ-S-S FI Hybrid is equipped with the Smart Motor Generator system (SMG), which includes electrical assistance with low diets, an automatic stop and restart system, and smooth starting technology. Powered by a monocylor engine cooled by air of 149cc, it delivers 12.4 horses at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
Weighing only 138 kg, it is a light and agile machine, perfect for daily urban journeys. Its compatibility with the E20 fuel adds a layer of environmental responsibility to its impressive fuel economy.
-On the technological side, the FZ-S FI Hybrid is fully equipped: color TFT screen, step by step, music control and traction control system. Thanks to Yamaha’s Y-Connect application, bikers can pair the motorcycle with their smartphone to access real-time data and performance information. LED lighting, an ABS with a single channel and a rear suspension adjustable on 7 levels complete the whole.
With 17-inch tubeless tires, a fuel injection and a 13L tank, the FZ-S FI Hybrid represents a daring jump forward for mid-range motorcycles on the Indian market.
