This Monday, May 5, in the early evening, forty-five firefighters were mobilized for a fire in a home. The fire broke out in a 300 square meter house, in Dieffenbach-au-Val, a village located northwest of Sélestat.
According to the report of the Bas-Rhin fire and rescue service, the disaster broke out on the first floor and extended to the roof. The rapid action of firefighters, however, made it possible to avoid spreading throughout the home.
A fifty-three-year-old woman, victim of second degree burns on her face, was able to leave the accommodation, but she had to be transported in absolute emergency to the Hospital of Sélestat.
The house surveillance and clearing operations, to avoid any recovery and overcurrent, lasted until 4 am.
