Sergio Conceicao feels AC demonstrated their united in a gutsy 2-1 win over Genoa.

Milan fell behind in Monday’s contest at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, where Vitinha put Genoa into a 61st- lead.

Yet Milan hit back with two quickfire goals. Rafael Leao’s deflected strike restored parity before the unfortunate Genoa  Morten Frendrup inadvertently turned into his own net when attempting to clear a cross.

Milan have taken 19 points from losing positions in Serie A this term, more than any other team in the competition, and Conceicao believes that shows a unified approach.

“We always try to improve. We on individual and group levels. We work a lot,” he said.

“The players responded well, which shows we have a group that believes in what we do at [the training ground]. I’m pleased with that.

“I think today was a demonstration that we have a strong and united group, where those who came on during the game gave us something extra.”

Conceicao also gave the players credit for their comeback, telling DAZN (as reported by Football Italia): “They pay me to work and read the game. Sometimes us coaches can give a little bit more, sometimes we can’t.

“This is a demonstration of the skill of the players, not of the skill of the coach.”

Milan are unbeaten in 14 of their 15 league games against Genoa (W10 D4), conceding just four goals in their last six games against the Rossoblu.

The Rossoneri have won five of their last eight Serie A games (D1 L2), the same number of victories they managed across their previous 14 league matches (D4 L5).
