In Miramont de Comminges, in the heart of the village, a shared house This family is about to open its doors. Before the residents took their marks in the building, visit the house.
Neighbor of the village church of Miramont-de-Comminges, the building of 26 rue Verdun has a facelift. For the past few months, on its fence, a sign announced the arrival and installation of a shared dwelling this female. A project which is now a reality since, on April 24, the building and the company organized an open day. What to visit the building and, why not, arrange there. “During the open days, we have families who come to see because they are interested, but also neighbors, inhabitants of the village who are curious and who want to know what we are going to offer. It is always very enriching and that allows us to make our initiative known.”
With the desire to create a benevolent and welcoming space for seniors in the territory, this female offers a shared house so that everyone finds himself “at home” while sharing certain spaces. It remains for the house manager to coordinate and manage the various activities and the timetable of the inhabitants. “Our goal is to age well, eat it well and live well.” A policy that seduced Laure Vigneaux, mayor of the village, who embarked on the project. “This building, which belonged to the town hall, welcomed single mothers and their children a few years ago. Empty since then, we absolutely wanted to reuse the building while keeping this human and social essence. So we started to look for and that’s how we met the teams of thisFamille.”
With its ceiling moldings, its wooden staircase, its spacious rooms (with individual bathroom) and, for certain rooms, its exposed beams, this shared dwelling has the merit of offering an exceptional living environment. Pieces where life is good and which are already embellished with certain furniture that the teams of this female have shouted. “It is important for us to offer spaces decorated in a style that suits our audience. As we are speaking to seniors, we cannot turn to too modern style.”
In addition to the interior spaces, it is also the garden which has attracted the teams of the shared housing: “The park will allow us to do activities such as soft gym outdoors, or even a vegetable garden.” But it is also proximity to the village school as well as other infrastructure in the town that will open the way for new activities. This establishment in the village is also an opportunity for neighboring traders, which will ultimately have an impact in the local economy. “It is a project that is positive on several aspects, and that is why we have retained it,” says Laure Vigneaux, proud of the installation of this female. She affirms it, the building will quickly fill up, the demand for such structures being important in the territory.
