During his traditional ceremony in Loubersan, the deputy for the 1st constituency of Gers Jean-René Cazeneuve shared his political assessment, addressed current challenges and reaffirmed his “commitment to the future of Gers in 2025”.

Last Thursday, in Loubersan, Jean-René Cazeneuve presented his wishes to the personalities of Gers during his traditional ceremony. This event brought together many stakeholders from the department, including local elected officials, economic leaders, association representatives and committed leaders.

The deputy and president of the Caisse des Dépôts Supervisory Commission took stock of a turbulent political year 2024: the rise of the far right during the European elections, the dissolution of the National Assembly and a motion of censure . In this context, he launched a call for “consensus and responsibility” to quickly adopt a budget “guaranteeing the maintenance of public services and stability for all French people”.

Jean-René Cazeneuve, however, wanted to place his speech under the sign of optimism. He placed emphasis on local authorities, agriculture, public services and economic development, placing particular emphasis on the latter point. “The attractiveness of our territory is the key to preserving our public services, our education system, our health and our solidarity,” he stressed.
