Sources close to the regional investment office of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region told Hespress that the implementation of this system “is not possible at the moment”.
This blockage would be due to the wait for the implementing texts of the new investment law. A situation which, although it appears logical to some, is seen by others as an obstacle to the development of major projects in the city.

This uncertainty adds to the difficulties encountered by investors, already facing obstacles in obtaining the necessary authorizations. While they were hoping for a change of course with the new year, the situation remains unclear.
At the end of 2024, entrepreneurs and investors had nevertheless expressed their optimism regarding the appointment of Yassine Tazi as head of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma Regional Investment Center. They saw him as the man for the job to get the region out of the impasse and relaunch pending projects.
Yassine Tazi, an experienced manager, has proven himself at the head of the Meknes-Fez Regional Investment Center. His appointment in Tangier, a region with strong investment potential, was seen as a positive signal.
