The mother of Jade and Joy Hallyday has indeed managed to establish relationships with other French personalities, including the actor and director Jalil Lespert. The filmmaker is working on a biopic project which will, unsurprisingly, focus on Johnny Hallyday. The film already has a name: That I love you. The main actor was even chosen, since it is the Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts. The news of this biopic project was announced during the last Cannes Film Festival. However, Laeticia Hallyday didn’t really like it.

The release of a biopic on Johnny Hallyday is not a new idea. Director Olivier Marchal had already looked into the subject a few years earlier. But in 2020, the filmmaker definitively threw in the towel. Bad luck for Laeticia Hallyday, Jalil Lespert wanted to resume this biopic project.
Necessarily, the singer’s widow can only fear that the image that will be given of her couple in this film will not be very positive. Laeticia Hallyday, however, seems to have found a parade to counter the work of Jalil Lespert. According to the magazine Closerthe widow of Johnny Hallyday is indeed considering produce another film on her late husband.

Laeticia Hallyday has already found the actor who will play Johnny Hallyday
So it’s not one, but two biopics on Johnny Hallyday which should see the light of day. According to the information provided by the magazine Closer, Laeticia Hallyday’s project is also well advanced. The former companion of Jalil Lespert would have even found the actor who will play the famous French singer.
“According to our exclusive information, it is the actor Raphaël Quenard, the new darling of the 7th art and César 2024 for Male Revelation, who would have caught the eye of the production to play the rocker”revealed the journalists of Closer. This actor is one of the recent revelations of French cinema. The actor, who is 33 years old, is the winner of the César of Male Revelation for his role in Dog of the breakage (2023).

A director was also recruited by Laeticia Hallyday
The recruitment of the main actor in the biopic prepared by Laeticia Hallyday is not the only good news for this film. The widow of Johnny Hallyday would also have already chosen a director to direct the filming. His name, however, has not been disclosed. It would be a “Recognized French filmmaker, multi-awarded for his muscular films and praised at the box office”.

As for the scenario, information remains limited for the moment. Laeticia Hallyday’s film should however begin in 2008. But at the time, Johnny Hallyday was aged 65 years, a far cry from Raphaël Quenard’s 33 years. It is then possible that this biopic will return to the youth of the famous French singer, perhaps in the form of flashbacks.
