Invited on the Variety show, “Actors on Actors”, actress Jennifer Aniston was very moved when she was questioned about the series “Friends”, which began 30 years ago.

“I remember the day the first episode aired on television, on NBC,” Jennifer Aniston recalls.

“Matthew and I were having lunch somewhere and we knew Lisa (Kudrow) was getting a hair color, so we went to the hair salon, and I took the place of the guy who was supposed to wash her hair, “It was really rubbish, but the excitement we had, I feel like it was yesterday.”

Series Friends, broadcast from 1994 to 2004 on American television, is today an issue in the battle between streaming platforms. Netflix paid $100 million in 2019 to retain the broadcast rights.

She will finally leave the platform to join Max, the new platform merging content from HBO and Warner, starting next July.

The series by Martha Kaufman and David Crane remains very popular with viewers, including the younger generation.

In 2021, the six actors found themselves in an exceptional episode, Friends: The reunion, to evoke their memories. The sudden disappearance of Matthew Perry, found unconscious in his jacuzzi in Los Angeles, struck fans, but also the actors of the series.

“We are totally devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just comrades. We are family,” they then communicated.
