Ludivine Reding this week’s guest on the baladi Open your gameanimated by Marie-Claude Barrette. The one who plays nurse Sophia St-Jean in STATshared his gaming experiences alongside two big names in Quebec television, namely Michel Côté And Claude Legault.

She notably mentioned one of her first television roles, that of Jaimie Hébert in The knockout theorywhere she played the granddaughter of Carol Hébert’s character, played by Michel Côté.

Asked about her experience working with Michel Côté, Ludivine Reding shared with emotion: “I will remember my first meeting with him so much. It was really stressful, he came to see me and said “Ah, hello, my granddaughter, we’re going to have fun this summer huh?”, it took so much weight off my shoulders and I’m became comfortable quickly.

She then continues by evoking a very particular tradition in which Michel Côté indulged: “At the time it was reels of film, and for each 100 reels, Michel paid for champagne for the entire team. And me since, when I had the main role in Runaway, I did that too. Me and Claude Legault bought sushi and champagne for the whole team. And for season 2 of Runaway, I had invited the whole team of the series and I had paid for the sushi and the champagne. For me, it’s something that I learned from these great actors, seeing them act on a set had an impact on me.

Ludivine Reding also took the time to talk about her mentor, Claude Legault. “Claude is a great actor, kind, he taught me to listen, he is always listening to others. He doesn’t have big egos, I learned simplicity and kindness.”

We also remember the moment when Marie-Claude Barrette and Ludivine Reding took the time to discuss the importance of the technical team on film sets. The young woman made a point of emphasizing: “Yes, we see us on the screen, but without the team behind it there would be no us on the screen. Often, we actors have breaks during the day, since we are not in all the scenes. But the technical team is the first to arrive on set and the last parts. It’s intense for them, they have families, so these actors are like that, they take care of their technical team.”
