It was happy news that Héloïse Martin announced on May 1, 2024. Via a carousel of three photos posted on Instagram, she revealed that she was pregnant with her second child. “2024, what a year! The family is growing, in a few weeks I will finally meet you my little baby. A second pregnancy which passes so quickly, which is going so well, my little Rose (editor’s note: born in 2022) is going to become a big sister. I still can’t believe it,” wrote in the caption the 27-year-old French woman who suffers from endometriosis.
And if everything goes well today, this pregnancy might never have happened. Indeed, as she explains to “Gala”, the one who released a comic book evoking the incest of which she was a victim as a child was four months into attempts when she heard the news. “I was resigned when we found out I was pregnant again. My first months of pregnancy were closely monitored, in order to avoid any risk of miscarriage,” she explained.
“And then there was this double surprise: a boy after a girl. Today, I am no longer afraid of anything,” she concluded.
