INTERVIEW – The most secret singer on the French scene comes out Blue Algaehis twenty-third album since his debut in 1968.
Since his “return” in 2004, with The Forgotten Language, Manset was very prolific. For himself, with a copious discography, but also for others, notably Alain Bashung and Indochine, for whom he wrote songs. If his latest album is not a great vintage, it restores to us one of the last active songwriters of his generation. Never recognized for his true value, Gérard Manset, 78 years old, remains a cult artist for those who appreciate his work.
