DEATH – A page in French cinema is turning. This Thursday, April 25, French director Laurent Cantet, known in particular to the general public for his feature film Between the walls (Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008), died at the age of 63, we learned from AFP through his agent, confirming information from Libération.
“He died this morning in Paris of illness”, indicated Isabelle de la Patellière to AFP. The director was working on a film project, titled The apprenticewhich was due to be released in 2025.
