United States: Meghan, a toxic leader? New testimonies overwhelm him

Meghan Markle’s popularity has been on the decline for several years, and these are not the latest revelations from Vanity Fair who will restore its image. This weekend, the magazine published a long investigation into the Sussexes, revealing little-known facets of their life in Montecito, far from the royal family. In terms of positive information, several sources told investigator Anna Peele that the couple was very in love, between a very protective Harry and a considerate Meghan.

Time gets worse when the journalist discusses Meghan Markle’s behavior with her employees. We remember that at the time when she was an active member of the British royal family, the American was accused of harassing the staff, on whom she allegedly imposed a reign of terror. Following these allegations, Queen Elizabeth II paid for an investigation carried out by an independent law firm. Buckingham Palace then decided to bury the investigation report, damning for the ex-actress.

The testimonies collected by Anna Peele go in the same direction as the echoes emanating from London. According to a source who worked with her on media projects, Meghan Markle was warm and enthusiastic at the start of the collaboration, establishing a climate of “professional camaraderie”. But when things don’t go the way she wants them to – most of the time because her demands are unrealistic – the Duchess becomes cold and pushes aside the person she holds responsible.

“It’s really, really horrible. Very painful. (…) She is very aware of everyone’s place on her game board. And when you are no longer useful to her, she can throw you to the wolves at any time,” confides this source. In practice, Meghan Markle works to sabotage the employee in question by talking behind his back and undermining his self-esteem, a bit like a mean-spirited teenager. Before working with the duchess, this source found it hard to believe she had actually yelled at a Buckingham employee.

She was finally able to experience it herself: “You can get yelled at without the person raising their voice. “It’s funny how people don’t know the difference between the energy of a scolding and someone actually yelling at you,” this person explains.

Two other sources tell Vanity Fair that it regularly happens that collaborators take breaks or take long leaves to avoid Meghan Markle. Others quit their jobs altogether, some starting therapy. “I think Meghan would probably get better press if she admitted her own wrongs or the way in which she herself contributed to creating certain situations rather than systematically wrapping herself in her victim narrative,” we whisper. Another source, however, describes Prince Harry’s wife as a “lovely and sincere person.”

We also learn that the Duke of Sussex is isolated in California and that he has difficulty making friends there. In Montecito, the couple is not unanimous, their neighbors being annoyed by the influx of tourists who hope to see them and by the regular presence of Netflix cameras which follow the couple in their movements. “They are hypocrites who believe that they are entitled to everything. They fled England to escape harassment from the press, and once in the United States, they do everything to attract the press,” annoys a local source. For the moment, the Sussexes have not reacted to the article.

Agreement between Harry and The Sun

Prince Harry reaches financial deal with tabloid owner The Sunputting an end to the proceedings he had initiated against Rupert Murdoch’s group, announced Tuesday David Sherborne, the lawyer for the youngest son of King Charles III. News Group Newspapers (NGN) has apologized to Harry for “phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators” acting on behalf of the group, and will pay him “substantial reparations”, added the lawyer before the High Court in London.
