Ryanair has announced that the digital boarding pass is no longer accepted at airports in certain countries, including Morocco. As a result, the Irish low-cost airline requires travelers to print their tickets before entering the airports concerned.
Ryanair does not accept digital boarding passes from airports in Morocco, Turkey (except Dalaman Airport), and Tirana in Albania.

“We accept mobile boarding passes for flights departing from most airports in our network. However, airports in some countries are unfortunately not yet able to accept mobile boarding passes. Customers traveling from these airports must check in online and print a paper boarding pass for their flight,” the airline said on its website.

The measure does not fail to surprise, especially since the CEO of the Irish low-cost airline, Michael O’Leary, recently announced his intention to permanently eliminate the physical boarding pass from May 2025, and to promote the digital map. Despite these announcements, the airline will not be able to impose it without the approval of the Moroccan authorities.
