A major fire is currently underway at Goodyear in Colmar-Berg. Authorities recommend avoiding the area.
The offices of the Goodyear factory located in Colmar-Berg were evacuated Monday afternoon following a major fire which was still not under control at 4:30 p.m.
The ACL warned from 3 p.m. that it was better to avoid Avenue Gordon Smith. The cause: the significant release of smoke which still disrupts traffic in the area.
According to our information, an appeal was made to residents in the area not to open their windows. The local school, for its part, has decided not to allow children to go out during their break.
-Around 4:30 p.m., a source told us that a dozen people had been taken to the hospital after suffering smoke-related poisoning at the Goodyear site.
Reinforcements have just arrived to lend a hand to the firefighters who have been working tirelessly since the beginning of the afternoon. More details to come.
