The exhibitions of the largest museums in , in Haute-?

Supported by the State, supervised by the Ministry of Culture and accompanied by La Villette, the Micro-Folie system consists of integrating a Digital Museum into the heart of already existing equipment.

This is particularly the case in eight municipalities in Haute-, including Vorey. The inauguration, this Saturday, January 18, was an opportunity for Mayor Cécile Gallien, and Prefect Yvan Cordier, to present the system and the advantages it presents.

« Vorey, with its shops and its cultural and sporting facilities, is a melting pot of social ties and conviviality, and the town is very keen on it. », Cécile Gallien, mayor of Vorey

With a total of 7,000 spectators welcomed in 2024, thanks to a rich cultural season organized by the municipality, the La Barque association and others in the area who rent the hall, Vorey represents a cultural hub which allows citizens of all ages to have access.

And it is within the framework of this cultural policy, which it wants to be accessible to all, that the municipality responded to La Villette's call for projects.

« Even though there are 12 trains per day that travel to Saint-Etienne, then and , not everyone has the opportunity to go to Paris to have access to these wonderful national museums, which is lucky to have », Launches the chosen one.

The ribbon was cut, in the presence of the prefect and the teams and volunteers involved.

And to continue: “ I therefore hope that a large number of people will be able to benefit from this Micro-madness, in Vorey but also well beyond, since today we are inaugurating the 8th of Haute-Loire. There is a nice territorial network, which allows in 15 to 20 minutes, to have access to science, the arts, to history, and to enjoy it at all ages. »

The greatest works at your fingertips

Since the creation of the first Micro-folies, twelve cultural establishments have been founding members of the system: the Pompidou center, the Château de , the Cité de la Musique, the festival, the Institute of the Arab World, the Musée du Louvre, the Picasso National Museum, the Orsay Museum, the Orangery Museum, the Quai Branly Jacques Chirac Museum, the Paris Opera, the Grand Palais and Univers Science.

Thus, thanks to funding of 30,000 euros intended for the acquisition of screens, virtual reality headsets or digital tablets, etc. a large number of works recognized throughout the world are accessible.

The works of 12 major cultural institutions are accessible.

The system will therefore benefit everyone, first of all to promote the development of “an artistic eye”, but also for the discovery of artistic trends, civilizations, different practices, etc. And why not, to make young and old alike want to go there and discover these exceptional works in person.

The approximately 140 schoolchildren in the town will also be able to access this content during school visits and also thanks to a specific regional collection.

« While material goods are consumed, culture spreads without limit », Cécile Gallien, according to a quote from the French philosopher Michel Serres
