An earthquake killed several people on Tuesday in the Himalayan region of Tibet in southwest China, according to state media, after the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a magnitude 7.1 earthquake in the region.
According to the Xinhua news agency, citing the Tibet Autonomous Region Earthquake Bureau, people “were killed in three communes.” The earthquake was felt as far away as Kathmandu, Nepal.
