A 7-year-old boy has been found alive, five days after going missing in a game reserve in Zimbabwe. He was found 23 km from his home.
His name is Tontenda Pudu, and he is seven years old. This little boy disappeared from his home on December 27, 2024, heading towards a wildlife park in Matusadona, Zimbabwe. “infested with lions”. Fortunately, the latter was found five days later.
During his journey, T. Pudu tried as best he could to survive, by eating fruit and sleeping on an elevated place. “among roaring lions and passing elephants”says Mutsa Murombdzi, a local MP, according to Sky News.

Nearly 50 km
“Remarkably, he is estimated to have walked 49km across the rugged terrain of the lion-infested Matusadona National Park from his village to the point where he was found.”says a spokesperson for Zimparks, Zimbabwe's parks authority.
After stating that he was eight years old, the spokesperson confirmed that he is indeed seven years old. The boy was still taken to the hospital for medical examinations.
