It will be noticeably milder with maximums of 5 or 6 degrees in the upper Ardennes to 12 or 13 degrees in the west. The wind will be moderate to fairly strong, and quite strong to sometimes strong at sea, blowing from south to southwest with gusts of 55 to 65 km/h and possibly up to 75 km/h on the Ardennes terrain.
Two alerts still active
A rain alert has been issued by the IRM since yesterday, it is active until 11 a.m. this Monday. “Between this Saturday midnight and Monday morning, the precipitation will be quite marked at times and we can locally record 30 to 40 l/m², mainly in the south of the provinces of Namur and Luxembourg (with more than 25 l/m² in 24 hours).”
During the night, slippery conditions were reported by the MRI, with an alert ending in a few hours, at 10 a.m. “Until the end of the morning, we still expect freezing rain in the province of Liège and the north of the province of Luxembourg. This morning, winter precipitation is still temporarily to be feared in the north of the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg .”
