NARRATIVE – On the run for months, the drug trafficker, cited in multiple cases, was arrested in Dubai, where he had been living for years.
When he first started, he asked to be paid not in cash, but in white powder. THE “roas from coke” Belgian, Othman El B., was arrested after years on the run in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), where he lived. Renowned drug trafficker, nicknamed «The Patron» due to his links with South America, the 37-year-old man was finally arrested, after being sentenced last September, in his absence, to seven years in prison for having imported hundreds of kilos of cocaine via the port of Antwerp, stronghold of drug trafficking in Europe.
Child of Moroccan immigrants who arrived in Belgium in the 1980s, Othman El B. was not always the «roi» of the flat country. After spending his entire youth in Antwerp, in the Borgherhout district – today considered a stronghold of the mocro-maffia, the young man made his first break in drug trafficking at the very bottom of the ladder, as that “courier” on the port of Antwerp.
