The investigation is progressing after the series of terrorist attacks which left at least 20 dead in Russia on Sunday June 23. On Friday June 28, Russian police carried out a large campaign of searches throughout Dagestan, the Russian republic in the North Caucasus where the attacks occurred. These searches affected a training room of a local MMA club, owned by star Khabib Nurmagomedov, and which would have links with the perpetrators of the terrorist acts.

He had been a regular at the Eagles MMA club, owned by Khabib Nurmagomedov in Derbent, for many months. “The Eagle,” considered one of the best fighters in the history of his sport, quickly reacted after the revelations about the links between the attacker and his MMA club.
