The city of Agadir was a popular destination for tourists during the first ten months of 2024. More than 1.16 million travelers, including a significant number of Britons, visited the city during this period.

Tourism is picking up in Agadir. The capital of Souss exceeded more than 1.16 million arrivals between January and October 2024, which represents “a double-digit increase of 14.01% compared to 2023 and an increase of 15.66% compared to 2019 in the destination’s classified tourist accommodation establishments,” indicates the daily Eco Inspirations.

The British market stood out during the period, positioning itself in second place in terms of arrivals with 18.71%, after domestic tourists (34.42%). This progression can be explained by the strengthening of air connectivity with the British market and an average length of stay exceeding one week.

The same trend is observed in terms of tourist nights, specifies the publication, emphasizing that British tourists “represent the first place in terms of tourist nights, reaching 25.33%, even surpassing the French market, which recorded 21.29 % during the first ten months of the year 2024”.
