A gigantic trial in the USA is currently taking place against the IPTV services Jetflicks and iStreamitAll, five years after the indictment of the eight suspects…

Some trials are simply massive. And the one carried out against the American IPTV giants Jetflicks and iStreamitAll is not to be outdone: 19 terabytes and 175,000 pages of data originally necessary for the proper conduct of the trial which took five years to prepare. On the stand, eight people from Las Vegas are accused of having reproduced tens of thousands of television series, as explained by the piracy specialist site TorrentFreaks.

However, the trial could have gone much faster: already in 2021, a number of the accused had pleaded guilty, among whom one of the most important had been sentenced to 57 months in prison (a little over four and a half years). But others have instead chosen to stick to their position, and this is how we find ourselves, in 2024, facing one of the most complex cases that American justice has had to deal with…

Among the evidence presented during the trial, several letters which could still change the outcome of a trial which, at first glance, seems rather a foregone conclusion. Just a few weeks ago, the first-ever conviction for IPTV as a serious crime took place, and we can see that the United States is taking the issue more and more seriously.
