Who will Donald Trump surround himself with to govern, after his presidential victory? He has until January 20, the date of his inauguration, to finalize his team. The president-elect invited Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX who bought X (formerly Twitter), to the stage. The latter is one of the men who could work with Donald Trump in the White House.
Elon Musk should logically join the next Republican administration. During the campaign, Donald Trump has already announced that he will charge his friend with an audit of the government with a view to profound reforms. We do not yet know what position he will occupy at the White House, ministerial or rather special advisor. In any case, he won't be far from the Oval Office because between Trump and Musk, it's a honeymoon, a passion that goes beyond politics. In his acceptance speech, the new president called Elon Musk a genius and a new star, he is certainly a man who will count in his new presidential term.
Other personalities will also play an important role around Donald Trump. First, its vice-president, James David Vance, 39 years old, elected from Ohio, former soldier, bestselling author, supporter of a hard line on immigration. He is also in favor of reducing aid to Ukraine. Robert Kennedy Jr, nephew of the president assassinated in Dallas, could appear in the next White House casting. His name is being circulated to take charge of the Department of Health and Human Services. This eccentric, anti-vax personality, black sheep of the Kennedy clan and follower of conspiracy theories, withdrew from the presidential race last August to rally around Donald Trump. He could therefore be rewarded today.
There is also the name of Richard Grenell, former ambassador to Germany, who is circulating for the post of national security advisor or head of diplomacy. There's also Susie Wiles, the political strategist, the architect of his success, in the running to become White House chief of staff. The president could rely on his family clan, as he did during his first term with his daughter Ivanka and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. Donald Trump indicated during the campaign that his children would not have official positions in his new administration, which does not mean that his relatives will not have influence behind the scenes. His daughter, Lara Trump also co-chairs the Republican Party.
