The body of Dolev Yehud, murdered on October 7 in Nir Oz, was found by the Israeli army in the kibbutz. His location was possible after extensive research carried out by the IDF unit specializing in the search for missing persons, “Ethan” as well as scientific identification and in-depth analysis in coordination with anthropologists.

Dolev Yehud, 35, from Kibbutz Nir Oz, was a paramedic for United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom. During the deadly terrorist attacks on October 7, he left his home to defend his community and try to save lives. Until then considered a hostage of Hamas held in the Gaza Strip, it was established that Dolev Yehud had been assassinated on October 7 by the terrorist group and his body remained in Israel.

The Israeli military informed his family after an identification process carried out by scientists from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Shura military base. Dolev Yehud was married and the father of four children: Raz (8 years old), Yotam (7 years old), Yaron (4 years old) and Dor (8 months old). Dolev met his wife Sigal when he was 12 years old. Sigal was pregnant with their fourth daughter, Dor, when Dolev was murdered.
