Enabling seniors to stay at home as long as possible: this is the objective pursued by the Broyarde Association for the Promotion of Health and Home Support (ABSMAD). During its general meeting on Thursday, it informed its members of the Aging Well program initiated by the Vaudoise Association for Home Assistance and Care in line with the cantonal Aging 2030 program. Remember that ABSMAD manages the medico-social centers d’Avenches, Moudon and Payerne and serves thirty-two communes in Broye Vaudoise.
“This process will start during the month of May. The program will each extend over three weeks with objectives defined for the person concerned in relation to their daily life, such as being able to cook themselves or collect their mail, indicates Hélène Morgenthaler, director of ABSMAD. The overall challenge is to enable re-autonomy in the context of functional decline.”
