Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN, through his spokesperson, said he was “very seriously concerned” about the number of civilian casualties in Lebanon.

“The Secretary-General is very seriously concerned by the escalation of the situation along the Blue Line and by the large number of civilian casualties, including children and women, reported by the Lebanese authorities,” a statement said.
