Last December 27 TF1 launched the new game Gladiators, the adaptation of a cult show in the United States, launched at the end of the 1980s, in which four candidates called the “challengers” competed, through sporting events, against 16 athletes high level, known as “gladiators”. During the animation, TF1 brought out the heavy artillery with the trio: Denis Brogniart for comments, as well as a unique pair formed by Hélène Mannarino and Jean-Pierre Foucault.

TF1 deprograms Gladiators after 2 issues

A success in many countries which adapted the program before , such as the United Kingdom, where it attracted 9.8 million viewers last January on the BBC One channel. But Gladiators failed to seduce the French public. On January 3, the game only attracted 950,000 fans in prime time. Due to lack of audience, TF1 decided to deprogram the show after only two issues. The last three episodes of Gladiators will be scheduled from January 10 in the second half of the evening.
