The fourth season of Alerts concluded this fall with the assassination of Captain Roméo Goulet. You should know that Jean-Michel Anctil knew from the start that his character would only have a brief stint in the Cerbère squad before disappearing in tragic circumstances. Read what he told us here.

Viewers said they were disappointed at having had to say goodbye to this jovial individual to whom they had become attached…

What surprises us when watching the first episode of season 5, which will be broadcast on TVA Monday evening, is the speed with which the murder of this beloved character is handled.

The action picks up a few months after the events. We thus understand that the police understood who had killed Romeo and had been working to catch him ever since. But the viewer did not witness the investigation and will certainly be surprised to see how we chose to treat the deplorable death of the good captain.

Perhaps there will be a sequel to this story, but the first episode seems to bring this affair full circle, which we did not witness. Damage.

As for the new cause of disappearance which will occupy the Cerbère investigators, it is that of a dynamic politician (Catherine Renaud), considered to be the most convincing candidate for the post of Prime Minister. The end of the episode is strange and intriguing to say the least. We can’t wait to see in which direction the authors ofAlerts chose to go this time…

It’s not to be missed, this Monday, January 6 at 9 p.m. on TVA.
