2 launches the new new series Shores this Monday January 6, 2025 at 9:05 p.m. Worn in particular by Fleur Geffrier (Drops of God), Thierry Godard, Guillaume Labbé and Jean-Marc Barr, this fiction was filmed in several different locations.

This Monday, January 6 from 9:05 p.m., France 2 broadcasts the first two episodes of its new series Shores (the entirety of which is already available on france.). In this new fiction, Fleur Geffrier, recently seen in Drops of God, plays Abigail, a brilliant oceanographer who left her native after a personal tragedy. Here she is forced to return to Fécamp to investigate the inexplicable circumstances of the sinking of a boat belonging to her father. She then reconnects as best she can with the latter – played by Thierry Godard became an actor for a funny reason – but also with her husband, played by Guillaume Labbé (Escort Boysseason 2 of which has already been filmed), as well as a family friend played by Jean-Marc Barr. As Abigail tries to get to the bottom of this affair, the underwater mystery deepens.

Shores : Where was the series with Fleur Geffrier and Thierry Godard filmed?

Logically, in Shoreswhether in the port, at sea or underwater, aquatic scenes make up a large part of the six episodes. But did the fictional teams really film on the open sea? The realization of Shores took place between October 2023 and January 2024. For two months, the teams set up their cameras in Normandy, mainly in Fécamp but also in or Etretat. Many sequences were filmed in town or on the region's beaches, but also by boat on the Channel.

For the purposes of filming, Fleur Geffrier managed the feat of learning in a month and a half: sign language, diving, but also navigation – she also obtained her boat license the day before the start of the filming! Security was then ensured by maritime coordinators. Weather variations, changes in current, tides… All the actors gave of themselves, there were almost no stunt doubles, whether in the boat, storm or underwater scenes. Some members of the team sometimes suffered from seasickness and some changes of actors even had to take place due to these difficult filming conditions.

Shores : How were the underwater scenes shot?

The underwater scenes were boxed in three different locations. Some in the English Channel, others in Corsica to show the seabed and their faults. Always supervised by scuba divers. Finally, the teams worked at the Litès studio in Brussels, the largest aquatic studio in Europe which hosted filming like those of the series Abyss or the movie Kursk. 1450 square meters, a maximum depth of 10 meters, water at 30 degrees, and even the possibility of creating waves 1 meter high!
