This Monday January 6, 2025, TF1 launches Erica (our opinion), his new series adapted from the novels of Camilla Läckberg, one of the great figures of Swedish crime fiction. Viewers will be able to discover from 9:10 p.m. the first two episodes freely inspired by the best-seller The ice princess with a Julie de Bona delighted with this role, and Grégory Fitoussi (who we recently saw in Cat’s Eyes”). This first episode will also be marked by the presence of well-known faces from the world of cinema and television, like Antoine Duléry, Maud Baecker, Elisa Servier or even Julie Sassoust, the emblematic interpreter of Anaïs Grimbert in the series Here it all begins. She confides in Télé-Loisirs.

Julie Sassoust (Erica) : “Julie de Bona immediately made me feel very comfortable”

Télé Loisirs: A few months ago, you told us that you were impressed by Claire Keim by filming alongside her in Aim for the heart. Did working with Julie de Bona have the same effect on you?
Julie Sassoust:
Yes, it’s always impressive to arrive on shoots like this where you don’t know anyone! Plus, I always want to do things well, especially for characters like Julie’s. With this kind of “small roles”, we have very little time to build a bond with the teams. Fortunately, Julie de Bona immediately put me at ease by being super warm, super pleasant and as a result, I felt extremely good with her.

Didn’t you know each other before?
No, not personally. However, I had always heard very good things about her. And indeed, she fits these descriptions perfectly. She is very sunny! I think she also hasn’t forgotten where she comes from, she encourages and supports the youngest to be as comfortable as possible so that they can do their job correctly. She’s someone I particularly like and I would like to work with her again.

Did she give you any advice?
Yes, there was a sequence that was quite short, but where I had to be hyper emotionally engaged. So, before filming, she gave me lots of advice. I found it wonderful. We sought perfection together. Julie builds with others. And that’s something I love! And what’s more, she was really kind to me…

Julie Sassoust (Erica) : “With Antoine Duléry, it’s as if we’ve known each other forever!”

In the cast of this episode, there is also Antoine Duléry, whose character is your father. How did this collaboration go?
It was like we had known each other forever! He puts people at ease, he’s an extremely funny person who immediately allowed me to de-stress! [Elle sourit.] He has a way of de-dramatizing situations a little, it’s really very pleasant. I really like working with actors who don’t take themselves seriously and with whom contact is as easy as it is fluid…

Leave the role of Anaïs for a whileHere it all begins did you any good?
A lot ! For an actress, it’s always very pleasant to be able to explore other projects, to interpret a new character, to meet new film crews, and to play with other actors, because it resets the counters almost to zero . In Here it all beginsI feel like I’m playing with members of my family, we all know each other and we’ve all got into our habits. And sometimes, we can take bad ones by relying a little on what we’ve learned… That’s also why I think it’s important to be able to do other shoots. I always have this sentence that sticks in my head: “In this profession, you have to accept being an eternal beginner.“. It also allows us to maintain a certain form of humility. In my opinion, it allows us to learn more. I find that very important. And this role of Julie in Erica is also great for that…
