Gilles, Single 58 years old, cereal farmer Sommery and milk collection agent from the Pays de Bray (Seine-Maritime), will participate in the twentieth season from Love is in the meadow.
Karine Le Marchand will present the first portraits of the 15 candidates of this 20th vintage, on Monday January 13, at 9:10 p.m. on M6.
Last year, it was Bruno, a farmer in Oise who tried his hand at the exercise and is now in love with Clémence. Just like Annaïg and Alexandre, based in Haudricourt, from season 17, who welcomed their first child at the end of 2024.
A Norman in this 20th season of Love is in the meadow
Gilles is an only child and grew up on the family farmbut school wasn't really his playground.
The call of the land being stronger, he took over the exploitation in 1995, inheriting 40 hectares et 30 dairy cows when his father retired.
M6 describes the farmer as someone with a contagious smile, always happy and laughing and a bit opinionated.
However, Gilles suffers the vagaries of life, and a romantic breakup comes to disrupt his plans.
Overwhelmed by work and responsibilities, he abandonsbreedingto become an agent of milk collectiondespite this he managed to find some free time.
“Today, Gilles hopes to meet a woman who will accept him as he is, with her big heart and her love for rural life.”
On the heart side, Gilles has experienced two important relationships, each time with painful endings.
Despite everything, he retains his taste for simple pleasures, like ballroom dancing.
20 ans d’existence
M6 is back for a 20th season of its flagship show aimed at helping farmers find love.
The show attracts 4 million viewers on Monday evening. The previous year was a great vintage with eight couples formed out of 12 candidates.
