“STAT”: What will happen to Philippe and Delphine?

While Emmanuelle and Jacob try to explain the state in which Anne-Marie Bernard and those who approached her find themselves, Philippe and Delphine risk death. Newly CEO of Saint-Vincent, Claude Coupal is already initiating big changes.

In the emergency room at St-Vincent Hospital, we are still on alert when we return from the holidays. The presence of Anne-Marie Bernard, the patient whom doctors had sent home twice already, believing she was a hypochondriac, caused panic among the staff. This time, it’s a real emergency, and three people have collapsed after coming into contact with Anne-Marie, suggesting that they are suffering from a mysterious and contagious illness. Emmanuelle’s first instinct was to want to close the emergency room, but Pascal refused. The patient was therefore placed in isolation, and anyone approaching her must do so in a full protective suit.

Emmanuelle and Jacob believe they have identified the problem and hope that time will fix things. Unfortunately, it’s rarely that simple… The most plausible hypothesis is that Anne-Marie’s symptoms were caused by the ingestion and epidermal absorption of harmful substances, with which she coated her body the suggestion of his new naturopath. However, the doctors must ensure that this is indeed the case, hoping that Emmanuelle, Jacob, Audrey and the other people who were in contact with the patient will not fall in turn.

A fallen director

The presence of Raphaël St-Vincent within the walls of the hospital, in the last episode of the year 2024, did not bode well for Pascal St-Cyr. Raphaël pretended to be there only to scout around, flirting with Isabelle Granger in the process, but we saw that he was there mainly to take photos with the new CEO. Following the departure of Mylène Lapierre, everyone expected to see Laurence Caron take her place. The position was however granted to Claude Coupal, who wasted no time in demanding that Pascal pack his boxes and leave the hospital. Will the latter decide to fight to keep his position? As for Daniel and Laurence Caron, they schemed and hoped for the departure of Mylène Lapierre so that Laurence would become the new boss. Why didn’t their plan work? Although Daniel kissed Isabelle at the end of the fall, he is still in a relationship with Laurence and remains attracted to power. Will he and Laurence try something else to turn the situation to their advantage?

State of crisis

Philippe left Isabelle’s home, where he was to have dinner and spend the evening with his friends, because Delphine needed him. The latter in fact received a distress call from Steve Jolicoeur and she decided to go to meet him after being convinced by Emmanuelle to call Philippe, who is better placed than her to intervene. Philippe, who knows the patient’s case and mental health problems well, hoped to be able to resolve the crisis. As soon as they set foot at Steve’s house, Delphine and Philippe understood that his condition was much more serious than they believed.

Armed, Steve claimed he had to defend himself because they wanted to kill him. At first, Philippe managed to make her drop the gun, but Steve started to panic when he saw the psychiatrist take out his cell phone to call an ambulance, after Delphine lost consciousness. He rushed at him and stabbed him. The fall finale therefore ended with the possibility of seeing two of the main characters of the series die, one from blood loss and the other from heart problems. Steve is an experienced doctor and surgeon who has worked miracles in the past. He could probably do something. However, he is in no condition to save lives and does not seem to intend to either. Will the urgency of the situation bring him back to reality or will we have to say goodbye to Philippe and Delphine?
