Merteuil with Diane Kruger revisiting Dangerous connections, Zero Day with Robert De Niro and a monster cyberattack or even Alien : Earth at the origins of the cult saga, are among the series expected in 2025.

This selection, which is not exhaustive, excludes new seasons of already established series.

Alcoves, kitchens, trenches

Competing with the 1988 big screen adaptation starring Glenn Close and John Malkovich is the bet of Merteuilseries on the Max platform with Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds) and Anamaria Vartolomei, seen in Maria et The Counts of Monte Cristo.

This version of Dangerous connectionsepistolary novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, directed by Jessica Palud (Maria), should take a feminist look at the libertine spheres of the 18th centurye century. Lucas Bravo (Emily in ) is also adventure.

Intrigues from the time of Napoleon also make one salivate in Lenton Apple +, in the footsteps of a spy-cook. The cast is French-speaking – with, surprise, the singer Juliette Armanet – but the ambition is international.

Another time, the war 1914-1918, with The sentinelson Canal +, story of soldiers in retro-futuristic costumes endowed with increased capabilities. Here too, this adaptation of a French comic book aims further than the French market. Not to be confused with the recent series Sentinelscontemporary and realistic, located in Mali then in Ukraine.

De Niro, Scorsese, revenants

Robert De Niro in a series? It's done with Zero Dayon Netflix, where the Hollywood giant will portray an 81-year-old former American president facing an apocalyptic cyberattack. Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) et Angela Bassett (Tina) complete the poster for this project which smacks of today's fears. There will also be a question of individual freedoms. “You’re going to take people off the street like that, without an arrest warrant? » asks De Niro's character. “No, for that, I’m counting on you,” replies Angela Bassett.

Martin Scorsese, legendary director, appears in The Studioon Apple TV +, which revolves around the disillusions of a Hollywood studio boss played by Seth Rogen, escaped from the schoolboy comedies of his beginnings (40 years old and still a virgin).

And then there are familiar faces who come back to say hello. Noah Wyle, revealed in the D's blouser John Carter in the series EMERGENCIES in the 1990s, reappears 30 years later, still as a doctor in a hospital environment. Dark circles and a beard on top of that, at 53, here he is in The Pitt on Max.

Jon Hamm, the impeccably suited Don Draper of Mad Menarrives as a washed-up hedge fund manager who robs his posh neighbors and unearths their secrets in Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV+.

Even before the first episodes are broadcast, a second season has already been ordered…

Ridley Scott, alien, drugs

The 87-year-old filmmaker resurrected his blockbuster Gladiator with a cinema sequel and will be more relevant than ever in 2025.

One of his major works on the big screen will be made into a series, without him directing it. It is about Alien : Earthon Disney+. “2120, planet Earth is expecting a child”, distills a first anxiety-provoking trailer based on the jaw of the famous creature and screams. The second furtively shows actress Sydney Chandler, seen in Pistolseries around the punk group Sex Pistols. Alien : Earth is a prequel, set before the first opus of the saga released in 1979.

Ridley Scott also produces Dope Thiefseries on Apple TV + in the footsteps of two crooks who pose as anti-drug agents before becoming mired in vast drug trafficking in the United States.
