This Wednesday, December 18, a protest movement was organized at the foot of the Arcom in Paris. The presenter of “Touche pas à mon poste!” mingled with the fifty people present on site.
C8 is not ready to give up. The channel intends to resist (and demonstrate) against Arcom’s decision to suspend their TNT frequency from March 2025. And like Cyril Hanouna’s multiple barbs against the audiovisual policeman made in the talk show “Don’t touch my phone!” do not seem to be enough, he launched a protest in front of the headquarters of the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority in Paris, in the 15th arrondissement.
This Wednesday, December 18, from 2 p.m., a platform was set up as well as a giant screen and a sound control. “NO to censorship. Protest against the removal of C8”was displayed in capital letters on a red background. This event was, as notified on the screen, carried out with the participation of Cyril Hanouna. The presenter also went there just before going on air on Europe 1 with his show “On marche sur la tête”, shortly before 4 p.m. The television man made a quick speech “four minutes at the foot of the stage then a walkabout”as our colleague from ParisianBenoît Daragon.

The latter was on site and counted nearly fifty people present to show their support for the channel. Among them, a third of journalists but also columnists from “TPMP” like Gilles Verdez. “Don’t touch my post!” et “Let’s refuse censorship” were the two slogans intoned by the speaker into his microphone. These were thus taken up in chorus by those present, invited to come closer to each other in order to form a mass “more compact”.
Despite this demonstration, and unless decided otherwise after the appeal to the Council of State, the Canal+ group will have to cease the activity of its C8 channel from February 28. Cyril Hanouna, for his part, says he is relatively confident about the future of his show “Touche pas à mon poste!”. The presenter affirmed, on December 11, that the talk show will continue to be broadcast despite the shutdown of C8, without specifying by what means.
