Mélanie Laurent was more than at her best during a Parisian dinner this Tuesday evening. The French actress and director was invited to celebrate the stylist Olivier Rousteing at the La Fontaine Gaillon restaurant, in the heart of the capital. An evening signed by Forbes which highlighted the talents of the artistic director of the renowned Balmain. It was therefore no surprise in an outfit concocted by the French fashion house that the 41-year-old actress arrived at the event.
Hand in hand with Olivier Rousteing, Mélanie Laurent headed to the front of the photocall for a few shots in front of the lens. Quite discreet during her public appearances, the star of “Inglourious Basterds” was rather at ease, she who defied her natural shyness to have fun posing confidently with her friend. On the red carpet, Mélanie Laurent proudly revealed her XXL leather jacket with shoulder pads. Its neckline, equipped with a gold chain, was the key touch contrasting its total black look.

To accompany her piece, the French screenwriter wore very high platform sandals as well as one of the brand’s latest creations, the black color of the “Jolie Madame” bag, unveiled last February. The designer had a black suit as well as a bag whose originality relied on its resemblance to a belt.

Mélanie Laurent returns to the big screen
If Mélanie Laurent remains discreet about her relationship with the Irish musician, Damien Rice, and her two children Léo (2013) and Mila (2019), born from a previous relationship, she will soon make her big return to the cinema. It is in the role of Marie-Antoinette that we will find Julien Boisselier’s ex in “The Deluge”. A historical drama dating back to the time of the Ancien Régime, which will be released at the end of the year, on December 25. Guillaume Canet will play his on-screen partner, the famous King Louis XVI.
On the small screen side, Mélanie Laurent was a hit on Netflix alongside Adèle Exarchopoulos and Manon Bresch in “Voleuses” in 2023. Recently, the actress was in the casting of the film “Libre” released on Prime this October, a film that she herself realized.
