The 6 episodes of the first season of “Escort Boys” raised the temperature of Prime Video subscribers. This will be the case for TF1 viewers from this Monday, December 2. The channel will indeed broadcast the first 3 episodes of this series directed by Ruben Alves from 10:10 p.m., just after the new episode of “Cat's Eyes”, which now increases to one episode per week.

Escorting to save the domain of their childhood

But what is this series about? “In the Camargue, four troubled boys find themselves involved in escorting to save the beekeeping estate of their childhood. Coached by the little sister of the group who runs this unique 'business' in the region, they will have to put themselves at the service of women and through their desire… learn to be men of today“, indicates the synopsis. The four boys in question are played by Guillaume Labbé (“I promise you”, “Plan coeur”, “L'école de la vie”), Simon Ehrlacher (“Heart ocean”, “Plus belle la vie”, “Cat's Eyes”), Corentin Fila (“Quand on a 17 ans”, “Mortel”) and Thibaut Evrard (“La nuit du 12”, “Tunnel”, “Bale perdu”). Their coach is she played by Marysole Fertard, seen in the film “Scrapyard Dog” and the series “Tomorrow belongs to us” and “La maison d’en face”.

This series, which takes the side of evoking a subject rarely treated on television, namely male sexuality and its taboos, is in fact freely adapted from a German series, “Milk & Honey” (2018), itself adapted from an Israeli fiction, “Johnny & the Knights of the Galilee” (2015). “I wanted to tell how, today, a man can also be an object of female desire.“, told “Télé 7 jours” the director of the fiction, Ruben Alves.

But how did the sex scenes, which are numerous in the series, go? To our colleagues from “Première”, Guillaume Labbé explained that the presence of an “intimacy coordinator” had been mentioned but that no actor or actress “i've asked“. “Because we spoke before. We told each other what we had the right to do to each other, how far we could go. We have marked these sequences as much as possible. Afterwards, it was harder with the actresses who came on a reduced schedule, to play the client for a day. There, we had to connect from morning makeup, exchange ideas, make an effort to tie something together before filming these scenes…“, he detailed. The actor in any case praised the filming atmosphere. “The chemistry was excellent. I've rarely felt something like this“, he confided to “Télé 7 jours”.

A season 2 in preparation

The series has already been renewed for a season 2, currently filming, still in the Camargue. Stéfi Celma and Clara Morgane are announced in the casting of this 2nd round of episodes, which is scheduled to be broadcast in 2025 on Prime Video.
