Wednesday November 27, at 9:05 p.m., France 2 broadcasts the first two episodes of That’s Paris! (our opinion), a mini-series initiated by Dominique Besnehard, the producer of Ten Percent. After exploring the world of agents, this time it offers an immersion in the world of cabaret, thanks to this new format embodied by Alex Lutz and Charlotte de Turckheim, respectively heir and administrator of Tout-Paris, a Parisian performance hall on the edge of bankruptcy.
That’s Paris! : Dominique Benehard reveals the song that guided him to create his character
At their side, we also find Anne Marivin, Bernard Le Coq, Nicolas Maury (the indescribable Hervé de Ten Percent)or even Line Renaud and Monica Bellucci in their own roles. Filmed at Paradis Latin, with choreographies set by Kamel Ouali (recently back at the Château de La Star Academy), this new Wednesday evening meeting allowed Dominique Besnehard to compose a new character, that of Régis, homosexual head waiter of the establishment's restaurant. From the first images, the old-school brushing that he proudly displays does not go unnoticed. Questioned by Télé-Loisirs, the former agent reveals to us how he created his look: “I immediately thought of “Commeils dit”, the song by Charles Aznavour! She was really the one who guided me into getting into the role.”
That’s Paris! : Dominique Besnehard's look is inspired by Orlando!
In addition to this emblematic title from the French repertoire, Dominique Besnehard was also inspired by one of his encounters which particularly marked him: “I also thought a lot about Jacques Collard [propriétaire de salles et roi des nuits parisiennes entre les années 70 et les années 2000, décédé en 2023] he continues. A wonderful man, crazy about shows, thanks to whom I went to see Marlène Dietrich at the Espace Cardin.” As for his impressive fleece, the producer-comedian confides with a laugh that another personality is at the origin of his wig: “The hairdressers told me they were going to do my Orlando hair!” We hope that Dalida's brother and manager, now a producer, will appreciate this tribute…
