Cécile and Jacques are the unfortunate victims of the orientation test so feared by the adventurers of Koh-Lanta, The cursed tribe. This Tuesday, November 26, Charlotte, Cécile, Jacques, Ilyesse and Thibault competed in a major orienteering race through forests, plains and the beaches of an island chosen especially for this event. Cécile and Jacques, who chose the same site, were unable to find the dagger quickly enough and failed against the three other adventurers. Cécile, a 41-year-old Pilates teacher who has never particularly shone in the tests, was nevertheless one of the finalists. During the last council, the latter allied itself with the former Yellows against its former red captain, Ugo. A few months after the end of filming, Cécile tells us about her Koh Lanta.

A bit like a submarine that you don't see coming“: Cécile de Koh-Lanta, The cursed tribe recounts his journey in the TF1 game

Tele-Leisure : You are perhaps one of the least expected candidates for this final orientation. What do you think of your journey in Koh Lanta ?
Cecile: I think it’s an incredible journey. I tried to advance as far as possible in the adventure, I saw the others leaving one after the other and I realized that I was going on my merry way without anyone seeing me arrive within five finalists. I was a bit like a submarine that you don't see coming. I am very happy to have arrived at orientation.

During the comfort test, your sister surprises you by coming to see you on the other side of the world. Did his visit influence or rather affect you for the rest of the adventure?
It was a very, very big surprise, Denis talks to us about food and then we see our loved ones arrive. The legs are already trembling with fatigue but now it becomes like cotton. We fall one after the other, we tell ourselves that this must give us strength and that they didn't come for nothing. I try to use this coming to gain this strength so that everyone is proud of me.

Just after the comfort test, you narrowly win the immunity test against Sophia…
My butt was hot! With Sophia we had a little battle. I heard Denis announcing that the candidates were winning one after the other… And when I realized that only Sophia and I were left I had a big bout of stress. Within a few seconds, I snatched victory from him. It's a big relief to know that I'm not leaving, even if I'm sad for Sophia who didn't do anything wrong. But I still have to survive the council.

Cécile (Koh-Lanta, The cursed tribe) on Ugo's last vote: “Even if it means going out, you might as well defend your color to the end

Just about the advice, like Gustin earlier in the adventure, you change sides. At that point, did you turn orange or totally yellow?
We understood that it was going to be between Ugo and me. We have a discussion before the council, Ugo says he is going to cast his two ballots against me, we know that, it's part of the game. In any case, I loved the people who stayed but it's a game , you have to make a choice.

Finally Ugo chooses Charlotte…
Yes, he changed his mind, that’s to his credit. Perhaps he felt in the crosshairs of the former Yellows. Even if it means going out, you might as well defend your color to the end

The day before orientation, what was the atmosphere like at camp?
We realize that we are living our last moments on the camp. We look at everything in the camp with a little nostalgia. We've been through it, and this is potentially the last time we see all this. We feel that the end is approaching.

What did you do when you left the camp?
Looking at him saying “Goodbye, I won't come back, it was nice“.

“We were at the end” : Cécile (Koh-Lanta, The cursed tribe) returns to the orientation test

Then finally comes the orientation test. You are going to the White Tree landmark, why this choice?
I had a feeling, I looked at the photos, and I chose the one that spoke to me the most. I saw the tree and it spoke to me more than a stone…

Jacques also chooses this landmark. How do you experience being in a duo with him?
I didn't necessarily experience it badly, I told myself that it wouldn't be hard, that we would have to do things discreetly, move forward, not give him too many clues. If I saw that I had clues, I was wondering if I was going to give it to him or not. I told myself that others were much more fortunate than me to be alone in their area.

After two first shots of mist activated by Denis Brogniart, Charlotte arrives at the lair of the white tree, how did you experience this moment?
It's very stressful to hear the sounds of mist, the first one was early, I hadn't found the tree. It's a real pressure boost. And just after the second, it's a bit of stress because we tell ourselves that two have already found them. When Charlotte arrives, there are three of us, it's going to be a race against time. May the best win!

When the ordeal was over, what did you say to Jacques?
We were exhausted, we were at the same time disappointed, relieved, happy, a mixture of emotions because we were at the end of this day of what our body and our mind were capable of enduring. And at that moment, we don't realize that so many hours have passed, I would have said that it had been two and a half hours, but really no more!
