The end is near for the adventurers of Koh Lanta, the cursed tribe on TF1. After the twisty episode of this Tuesday, November 19, 2024 which resulted in the elimination of Sophia and Ugo, there are only five candidates left who can win the show. Cécile, 41 years old, Charlotte, 28 years old, Ilyesse, 23 years old, Jacques, 38 years old, and Thibault, 34 years old, are the five finalists of this edition. They will participate this November 26, 2024, from 9:10 p.m., in the famous orienteering race which will determine those who will compete in the legendary pole event. The name of the winner of this 26th season will then be announced on December 2.

A rule of the game changes after Gustin's journey
While waiting to know the identity of the winner, Denis Brogniart announced on Instagram that the rules of the TF1 game would soon change. He indicated this on his account while he was organizing a live where he received one of the notable personalities of this season: Gustin. The Swiss lifeguard was eliminated from the program on November 5 after betraying his former red teammates – including his friend Cassandre. He was invited a week later by the presenter of the show to debrief his Koh Lanta.

Interviewed live, he notably returned to his incredible victory during the obstacle course. Remember, the 26-year-old young man managed to catch up with Ilyesse, then first, by crossing the obstacle in an astonishing manner. Taking advantage of their condition (they were tense and stable thanks to the weight of his opponents), he became the first candidate in the history of the game to dare to walk on the ropes instead of hanging on with his hands and knees.

“It's rare. But you did something we never imagined, never planned“, the TF1 host told him. Before announcing the irrevocable sentence: “I announce to you that from the next season, it's forbidden to do what you did.”
A breach of the rules of the game that Gustin did not see coming: “For me, it was quite logical the decision to walk the ropes. Everyone was on their knees. I told myself that I had to do things differently from others“. A technique that is unlikely to happen again from now on.
