“More beautiful life, even more beautiful” from November 26, 2024 – summary of episode 221
Charlotte comes to the police station and informs Jean-Paul and Ariane that she has identified prints on the bat used to attack Ulysse Kepler. They belong to Dylan Vatier, a man already known for violent theft. Jean-Paul and Ariane, who know the latter, specify that he was recently released from prison. However, they struggle to understand why Dylan would have attacked Anthony. Ariane then reveals that Dylan’s lawyer is none other than Ulysses. Jean-Paul remains skeptical: he cannot believe that Ulysses would have orchestrated such an attack. They decide to question Dylan.
In the Mistral, Ophélie sees Anthony moving around on crutches and is worried. When she approaches him, he replies that he prefers to distance himself. Anthony then goes to the police station, where he says that Ulysses came to see him at the hospital in a state of anger, even punching a wall. He gives Ophélie a bracelet belonging to her brother and leaves her in shock.

Ulysses accompanies Julie when she leaves for Denmark, where she is expected by a friend. Although reassured, Ulysses refuses her invitation to join her. Julie, as she leaves, confesses her feelings to him, but Ulysses explains to her that they are not reciprocal. Aya finds Ophelia, disturbed by the accusations against Ulysses. Ophélie defends her brother, but Aya remains doubtful, wondering why Anthony would lie.
Ulysses informs his mother that Julie has left. Vanessa, relieved, nevertheless worries about Anthony, whose reactions become unpredictable. Odysseus surprises Ophelia listening at the door. The latter confirms Vanessa’s suspicions about Anthony, citing financial problems.
At the police station, Dylan ends up confessing to Anthony’s attack. A large sum of money, found at his home, links him to a sponsor. Under pressure from Ariane and Jean-Paul, he reveals that it was Ulysse Kepler who paid him.
Meanwhile, Babeth and Léa receive their meal delivered by Baram. The latter, upon hearing their conversation, seems disturbed, but remains silent. Later, Baram, in the Mistral, shows Kilian the unpleasant messages he receives from impatient customers. Touched, Kilian offers him a coffee and a slice of pie to cheer him up.
Baram visits Eric, recently released from the hospital with normal results. Eric, worried about Baram, offers to help him financially in the face of an insistent creditor, but Baram sharply refuses. Later, Blanche, who witnessed the scene, warns Eric against the idea of getting too involved with undocumented immigrants.
For her part, Blanche expresses her concern to Luna and Jennifer: she has not heard from Luna. Jennifer adds that her last meeting was canceled without explanation. Together, they decide to contact her lawyer to obtain information. Later, Barbara meets with Luna’s lawyer, who blames her for providing Luna with a phone. According to her, this could explain the interruption of visits. The lawyer urges Barbara to remain discreet, while promising to find out.
Barbara and Jennifer plan to send a message to Luna, despite the risks. Barbara suggests a method mentioned by Abdel, involving a “parcel launcher”. Jennifer, motivated by the risks taken by Luna, agrees to give it a try.
