A British widow who is pulling the devil by the tail decides to move to Corfu with her four children. The story begins in 1935 and it is true, but here quite freely adapted from the story of the naturalist Gerald Durrell, younger brother of the novelist Lawrence Durrell. Their funny lives fuel a classic, generous and entertaining series.

At 8:55 p.m. on Arte. Series created by Simon Nye, based on the work of Gerald Durrell (1, 2, 3 and 4/6, GB, 2016). With Keeley Hawes, Milo Parker, Daisy Waterstone, Josh O’Connor. Rebroadcast.
